With over 124
lives lost and 60 people still missing after last weeks flooding in El Salvador,
The Salvation Army is providing emotional care and support, food packages,
cleaning supplies and daily necessities to victims.
The Salvation
Army is working in two of the hardest hit areas in El Salvador, Barrio Candelaria
(location of the Central Corps and Regional Headquarters) and San Vicente.
Although resources are limited, a good effort is being made by officers,
soldiers and volunteers. The Salvation
Army will be providing the following services over the next few days:
- Thursday, November 13 (San Vicente)
- Providing mattresses and cleaning supplies
- Friday, November 13 (Barrio
Candelaria) - Providing over 400 families with food and clothing
- Saturday, November 14 (Central
Corps) - Day Camp for children ages 6 to 11, in order to give them an
opportunity to relax for a day in a clean environment
Pray for the
ministry of The Salvation Army and the families who have lost homes,
possessions and family.
